Privacy Policy

Who we are

Racelist (“we”, “us”) is a training log and optional race-search website for runners. Contact: use the email on your account registration host or the project maintainer listed in the repository you deploy from.

Information we collect

  • Account data — email, optional name, and a hashed password.
  • Training data you enter — runs, notes, routes, personal records, calendar preferences, and saved races.
  • Technical data — standard server logs and analytics (for example Vercel Analytics) that may include IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
  • Password reset — when you request a reset, we store a hashed, time-limited token and send a link to your email.

How we use information

  • Provide and secure your account and training log.
  • Show race search results from third-party listings you request.
  • Send transactional email (password reset) when you ask for it.
  • Improve reliability and understand aggregate usage.

We do not sell your personal or training data.

Third parties

Race search may call external event providers (for example RunSignup, Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, SeatGeek) with your search filters. Map and geocoding features may use OpenStreetMap/Nominatim or similar services. Hosting and analytics providers process data as needed to run the site. Their privacy policies apply to their processing.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your account and associated training data from our database (subject to ordinary backup retention).

Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Sessions use HTTP-only cookies. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; use a strong unique password.

Your choices

  • Update profile and password in Settings.
  • Request a password reset from the sign-in page if you forget it.
  • Delete your account in Settings.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
